Anna C. Argenio

Anna Argenio was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away unexpectedly from a serious infection on August 27, 2024, at the age of 78. Anna was the heart and soul of our home and family. Alongside her loving husband of 60 years, she also played a pivotal role in our former businesses, “Brands Clothing” (1972-2000) and “Brands The Hobby Place” (2002-2015) in North Providence.

 Anna’s warm, friendly, joyful, witty, and empathetic personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met, whether relatives, customers, or acquaintances. She was always ready to console and comfort others during times of grief or disappointment. Anna’s passions included daily interactions with family and friends, reading mystery books, and assembling jigsaw puzzles in the evening. She cherished Facetiming with her great-granddaughter, Renee, and accompanying her husband on his trips across the country to model aircraft flying events.

 Thanksgiving, Christmas, and NFL games were Anna’s most anticipated family gatherings. She delighted in sharing her festive holiday decorations, delicious Italian cuisine, and engaging in lively conversations. These discussions often revolved around football, with spirited debates comparing various teams and players to her beloved Patriots and Tom Brady, eventually segueing into the inevitable and contentious topic of U.S. politics.

 Anna’s passing left a profound void and deep sorrow for her entire family and the countless others who loved her dearly. Her impact on many lives was immeasurable. She will be forever missed, until we meet again.

Anna was preceded in death by her grandson, Benjamin Rogers. She is survived by her beloved husband, Andrew Argenio; daughters, Andrea and Alysia; grandchildren, Zachary Rogers (Becky), Alex Arnold (Grace), AJ Waitt (Kerri), and Spencer Waitt (Miranda); great-grandchildren, Valentina, Renee, and Faith Rogers; sister, Patricia DeBerardis; as well as nieces, nephews, and family friends, Leo Costello (Kathleen) and their daughter, Laura, and son, Christopher.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 8:00-10:15 am at Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 240 Eaton St., Providence. The burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
