Anna B. Bell, 92, of Church Street Redford, died Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Lyon Mountain, April 17, 1933, the daughter of John and Virginia (Prespare) Hurd. She grew up in Lyon Mountain, prior to relocating to Redford.
Anna worked for Georgia Pacific for 20 years prior to retiring in 1994. After retiring she began driving the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center van for Dr. Vaccaro, and did so for 17 years. She loved driving folks and cherished conversations and lunch with the many new friends she met.
She was an active communicant of the Church of the Assumption for more than 70 years.
Anna enjoyed reading, playing bingo, and attending field days with her friends.
Left to cherish the memory of Anna are, her children, Vicky (Tom) Maggy of Saranac, Bobbie (Patrick) Heywood of Redford, Roy "Poncho" Hurd of Redford, Star (Merle) Thornton of Saranac, and Veronica "Bonnie" DiOrio of Glens Falls; sister, Veronica Paloski of Averill Park; grandchildren, Tully (Alyssa) Kennedy of Tennessee, Brooke Bell of Florida, Sarah Thornton (Ben Keech) of South Glens Falls, and Meadow (Ray) Biondolillo of Saratoga; great-grandchildren, Keller and Delaney Kennedy of Tennessee, Hayley and Brett Keech of South Glens Falls, Jonah and Caleb Biondolillo of Saratoga; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, John Hurd, Jr., Virginia DiOrio, Mary Gannon, Gladys Cropsey, and Margaret Bell.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Noon at the Church of the Assumption in Redford. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A reception will follow at the Saranac American Legion Post 1618.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Church of the Assumption in Redford.
