Aunt Annie´s big smile and laugh were as reliably present as her gravy, fresh bread and treats for the kids. This pic is when she held Elliotte for the first time. That unique lively spirit that she had made every visit lively and loud. The comical banter she and Uncle Lawrence had was a special blend of sass, whit, and love that sadly can only be immitated and never duplicated. I so badly wish my kids could sit at their table with big eyes like I did as a child and listen to them, soak in the savory aromas and feel the warmth. The only consolation is that my mom, Michael, and Uncle Lawrence, will get to enjoy her company once again
