She attended Douglas Elementary at Earlsboro, OK and graduated from Dunbar High School at Shawnee, OK. Later in life she met and married Edward Loyal Brown. He lovingly adopted her son Ronnie Dean Brown. Anna received her Bachelor’s degree from OBU in Shawnee, OK. Anna was a faithful member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Anna Jean lived her life being concerned about others and wanted people to be treated fairly. She was designated a member of the Gordon Cooper Technology Center Hall of Fame, where she served on the GCTC Board of Education for 14 years. By the way, Anna had a day job at Community Action Program Inc. as a nutrition specialist and retired from there. Anna enjoyed cooking and was a very good cook. She baked cookies, cakes and make the most delicious peanut brittle. Her family states they are pretty sure some of you had a chance to eat her peanut brittle. She would make it and share it even with siblings in California and Kansas.
