Anna Jane Czarnecki

CZARNECKI, Ann, J., September 8, 2025 Age 96. Beloved wife of the late Edward (2009) for 60 cherished years. Loving mother of Patricia (Gary) Grundy, Karen (the late Walter) Zawadzki, Colleen (Jack) Kinney, Edward (Kelly) Czarnecki, and Jim (Holly) Czarnecki. Proud grandmother of 15 and great grandmother of 12 for now, with twins on the way. Predeceased by her 7 dear siblings. Survived by many nephews, nieces, and her much loved sister in law, Pat Skarbinski. Ann was a nurturer to all her family and friends, and a skilled and dedicated homemaker who infused creativity into all her life's work. An excellent seamstress, she created beautiful clothing and costumes tailored to fit everything from her daughter's tiny Barbies, up to real life bridesmaids, and even a bride. Through the years she kept her hands productive crocheting countless beautiful afghans in an array of designs. She indulged her family and friends with delicious meals, including Polish specialties and treats which she tirelessly produced. For many years she enjoyed expanding her skills by specially designing, baking, and decorating cakes for family celebrations, and ultimately, multi-layered wedding cakes. Through it all she leaned on her faith in God especially through her life's trials, setting an example along the way as she prayed, and attended Catholic Mass regularly, teaching her 5 children to trust in God as well. Once they were grown she doted upon her many grandchildren as they came along. Around that time she and her husband, Ed, took up ballroom dancing and had many years of great enjoyment and extended friendships through that avenue. In later years she continued to be an avid card player, and was known most recently for her endless evenings of kings in the corner - with whomever she could corner with her deck of cards. Until her last days she graced all around her with her enthusiastic smile. Visitation Friday 3-9 pm, with 7pm rosary recitation service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile Rd). Funeral Saturday instate 10 am at St. Ephrem Catholic Church 38900 Dodge Park at 17 Mile Rd until time of Mass 11am. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery.
