Anna DiPilato of Eltingville passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the age of 93.
Anna was born June 25, 1931 and was the fifth child of the late Michael and Catherine Dasario. She grew up in Manhattan where she married the love of her life, the late Michael DiPilato. She and Michael settled in Brooklyn where they raised their twin sons Leo and Michael. Later in life they bared their third son, Mark, and moved to Staten Island.
Anna worked in the garment industry for over 30 years where she created clothes for women. Afterwards, she wrapped presents for Macy's. In retirement, she enjoyed attending the New Dorp Friendship Club, visiting Atlantic City, playing bingo and attending dances. In her spare time, Anna knitted numerous blankets for family and friends. She loved her Cadillacs and drove until the age of 90.
She was the beloved wife to the late Michael, who passed away in 2001. Loving mother to Mark and his wife, Jennifer, Michael and his wife, Patricia and Leo and his wife, Diane.
She was a cherished grandmother to Mark, Vanessa, Michael, Christopher, Marissa, Paul and Amanda. She was the devoted great grandmother of Ella, Ava, Michael, Jeremy, Zachary, Angelina, Liliana and Francesco.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Holy Child Church, located at 4747 Amboy Road, Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
