Anna Dotel Obituary
Anna Carina Dotel, known emphatically by friends and family as Cari, 34, of New York City, passed away on the evening of September 19, 2023, in her native borough of Manhattan.
Anna was born in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan to Anneri and Victor on October 27, 1988. Anna attended the High School of Graphic Communication Arts and was an alum of Year Up, New York, where she studied Information Technology. Following Year Up, Anna studied Business Administration and Organizational Leadership at Fordham University. Anna's love for her daughter Leah, son Amari, and family knew no bounds. Anna was a beacon of light who loved to dance and sing, and her smile would truly light up every room she walked into. Anna made friends with everyone who crossed her path, and she took great joy in being of service to others. Anna spent her career as a beloved Executive Assistant in the financial services industry. Additionally, Anna was a licensed notary public who loved giving back in the form of resume help, document translation services, and assisting disabled members of her community with navigating the administrative nuances of receiving public aid.
Anna is survived by her two children, Leah and baby Amari; siblings Jose aka Chino, Anne, Diana, Maryanna, Sintia, Sammy and Natalie; and her parents, Anneri and Victor.
Anna's visitation will be held on September 27, 2023, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Riverdale Funeral Home, 5044 Broadway, New York, NY 10034. Anna's burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 Stevens Avenue,Valhalla NY, on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
