Anna Durham Obituary
She was born on November 24, 1937, in Fairmont, WV the second of two children born to the late Anthony "Tony" and Martha "Virginia" DiCea Greco.
A 1955 graduate of East Fairmont High School, Anna Marie went on to earn her associate degree. She worked for many years with the C&P Telephone Company, beginning her career in West Virginia and continuing her service after relocating to Kentucky. Upon returning to Fairmont, she was employed for many years with Nationwise Auto Parts.
Above all else, Anna's proudest accomplishment was raising her six children. Even though Anna Marie faced heartache when she was tragically widowed at the age of 25 leaving her with a 5, 3, and 2-year-old and an eight-week daughter, her life was centered on her family, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to being a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and thoughtful aunt. She was of the Catholic faith, which remained an important part of her life as she attended church weekly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antony and Virginia Greco; her husbands, Joe Kinty by a motor car accident and Jim Durham who died of cancer; her daughter, Anna Marie Kinty Simpson; and her son-in-law, Steve Seidelman; and her brother, Charles F. Greco.
Anna will be remembered with love by her children, Sheryl Legrone (Ronald), Joseph Kinty (Rhonda), Veronica Winkler (Paul), Tammye Seidelman, and Michael Durham (Lisa); twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Anna Marie's Life will be held in the Spring of 2026.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Anna's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or WVU Medicine Hospice.
Anna Marie's cremation will be under the direct care of the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home's On-Site Crematory.
