Evansville, WI - Anna Marie (Ann) Egstad Edwards

Ann Edwards, age 88 passed away at home with Agrace Hospice on October 28, 2025, of Heart Failure. Born on March 10, 1937 to Martin & Catherine (Christenson) Egstad in Vernon County. Ann went to one and two room country schools near Westby and Melvina. She graduated from Cashton High School in 1956.

Worked at Singer Sewing Machine Co in Madison, WI from 1956-1959. Met her spouse John Edwards, dancing at Turner Hall in Madison and married on Sept 26, 1959 at Cashton Trinity Lutheran Church in Cashton, WI.

Became a member of St John's Lutheran Church in Evansville on April 3, 1960. Volunteered as a Sunday school teacher; member of Mary's Circle & made baby layettes for the church for 20 years.

She volunteered with the Cub Scouts and Red Cross. Member of the Evansville Snow Devils- snowmobile club and the Fire Department Women's Group. She did sewing/alterations for many people in town as well as for herself.

Ann enjoyed camping, motorcycling and many bus trips with VanGalder/Coach USA with John throughout the years. She was a big fan of football with the Packers & Badgers, as well as Nascar Racing.

Ann is survived by her 3 children, Rhonda (Joseph) Scarpelli- Evansville; Nathan (Jonalee) Edwards- Springdale, AR; Steve Edwards- Edgerton. 3 grandchildren Carissa (Ryan) Rooney- Columbia City, IN; Carmen (Jason) Nierman- Columbia City, IN; Luke Babler-Ft Wayne, IN and 7 great grandchildren, Faith & Carson Carpenter; Brooklyn Babler, Bryan & Bryce Aumsbaugh all of Columbia City, IN; Layla & Gage Babler - Ft Wayne, IN; 3 step grandchildren, Joe Scarpelli III- Rochester, MN; Brianna Scarpelli-Ferro- Taunton, MA; Nick (Stephanie) Scarpelli-Evansville; 2 sisters Marlene Strait- Whitewater, WI; Joyce Egstad- McFarland, she was preceded in death by her husband John E Edwards; parents Martin & Catherine Egstad; brother in law Kermit Strait; 2 nephews Scott Strait & Micheal Strait.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Evansville. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at church.
