Abbeville: Mrs. Anna Brailey Green (100) was born on February 11, 1925, to the late King Brailey and Amelia Cade in Henry, LA. She moved to Abbeville at an early age where she became a longtime resident. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She enjoyed raising her grandchildren, telling her childhood stories while drinking coffee and picking pecans. She had a knack for cooking, baking, and making sweet treats. She passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Joseph Washington (Sherry) of Abbeville, LA; two daughters, Shirley Presley and Rose Guillory (Ronald) of Basile, LA; and twenty-two grandchildren: Frederick Washington, whom she raised as her own; Juliette Mitchell; Barry Washington; Sabrina Petry (Eric); Hannah Washington; Koreatha Green; Maurice Tolson Jr.; Satrona Washington; Kedrick Mitchell; Paul Pillette; and Paula Pillette, all of Abbeville, LA; Betty Washington (Dane) of Kaplan, LA; Jennifer Washington (Gregory) of Baton Rouge, LA; Sherry Washington of Breaux Bridge, LA; Deanna Green (Mark) of Lafayette, LA; Ronald Guillory (Thalia) of Eunice, LA; Lisa Lafleur (Brandon) of Basile, LA; Donald Guillory of Basile, LA; John Guillory of Prairieville, LA; and Meg Guillory and Christy Miller (Shelby), both of Jennings, LA. Eric Washington (Brenda) of Jacksonville, FL, and Pernell Towles (Keisha) of Dallas, TX; one goddaughter, Sara Derouen of Abbeville, LA; and a host of grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, King Brailey and Amelia Cade; four daughters, Anna Washington, Delta Green, Betty Jean Washington, and Mary Ann Green; four sons, Thomas Washington Jr., King David Washington, Willie Paul Washington, and Charles Washington; three sisters, Louise Minor, Hannah Brailey, and Rosella Brailey; five brothers, Buster Brailey, Leonard Brailey Sr., George Brailey, Johnny Brailey, and Pete Campbell; one goddaughter, Bertha Ruth Brailey; and two godsons, Leonard Brailey Jr. and Elliot Minor.
