Anna M. Hanneman

Anna Mae Hanneman was born in Cumby, Texas to Earnest and Gertrude Coffman on March 15, 1932. She raised two children, Doyle Ray Sims and Debbie Schleich. She fell in love with and married Richard Hanneman on July 27, 1979 and was blessed with three more children by marriage, Christine Seifert, Paul Hanneman, and Hope Benjamin. Anna adored her grandchildren, Doyle Sims Jr., Kristie Bormann, Adam Sims, Sadie Morris, Debbye Mezaros, Becky Kennedy and Sean and James Benjamin and also her great-grandchildren, Trillany Sims and Amanda and Noah Mezaros. She was also sister to Sonny Coffman and Sandra Fraley, an aunt to all their children and was preceded in death by her parents and her half brothers Billy and Bobbie Martinez. Anna had many friends that loved her and will miss her also. “Annie�, as she was known by many of us here today, worked hard to provide for her family and took pride in them and her home. Her home was always clean and she always made you feel welcomed there. When you needed her, she was always there. Her laugh made you laugh. She could keep you in stitches with some of the stories she could tell about growing up with her brothers and sister and some of the funny adventures she had experienced lately. She was plain-spoken; you never had to ask what she meant except if you were trying to interpret some of the names she gave to things like geegaw and thingamajig. She loved her garden and feeding the squirrels and birds and watching them from her chair in the breakfast nook. It gave her great pleasure to watch them eat while she sipped her water and worked her puzzles. Even when she started to feel bad, she loved sitting there with Richard at the table talking about the day and watching her favorite preachers or listening to the Gaither’s on TV. There was never just a short phone call to a friend or relative. She always found things to talk or joke about. Anna went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 23rd. I know she is enjoying the gardens in Heaven and all the critters and is probably asking God to help her family. We will all miss you Annie. We all loved you very much.
