Anna Hibma Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Iles Dunn’s Funeral Home on Apr. 2, 2024.
Anna Marie Hibma joined her father, mother, Uncle Jud (Leroy Chesher) and nephew Michael Eachen in Heaven on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa after a battle with cancer.
Anna was devoted to her husband of 54 years (Raymond), selflessly loved her son (Erin and Heather Hibma) and daughter (Stacey and JB Pletcher), and adored her grandchildren (Joie, Caelun, Gwen, Hannah, Ethan, Gabrielle, Tory) to the moon and back. She was little sister to Mary Eachen and her brother-in-law Charles and loved both deeply.
Anna was born March 17, 1951 in Rock Rapids, Iowa to Max Chesher and Gwendolyn (McCarty) Chesher. She lived in Rock Rapids (IA), Luverne (MN), Edgerton (MN), Pella (IA), and Clive (IA) throughout her life. She focused on raising her two kids while working at T&D Clothing Store. She obtained her Associates Degree from Des Moines Area Community College in 1987. After graduation, she joined Pella Corporation first as an accountant then as a Purchasing Agent after attaining her Bachelor's Degree from William Penn College in 2003. She was a dedicated professional for over 20 years retiring from Pella Corporation in 2013. She finished her working career at Nestle Corporation and fully retired in 2017. Anna continued staying in touch with colleagues whom she supported and advised as she deeply valued the personal aspect of relationships and "never burning a bridge." She spent her retirement caring for her grandchildren and enjoying spending time with Ray and family.
From Anna's wishes, the family is keeping her memorial service exclusively to immediate family. Any condolences can be sent individually to Ray, Erin, Stacey, and Mary.
