Anna Hannelore "Lori" Hinson, 93, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, South Carolina.

Born in Butzbach, Germany on February 18, 1932, Lori lived a remarkable life shaped by resilience, hard work, and deep love for her family. She survived the hardships of World War II and, during those difficult years, met her husband, US Army SFG Michael Joseph Hinson.

Lori was a longtime member of Sandy Run Lutheran Church, where she found great comfort and community. She was known for her warm spirit, her exceptional cooking, and her joy in tending to her garden. An avid reader and a woman of patience and kindness, she approached every day with gratitude and purpose.

Lori worked the later part of her career at the NCO Club at Fort Jackson, where she retired after a distinguished career as Cater Manager. She faithfully served countless soldiers, earning a reputation for her genuine care, strong work ethic, and welcoming smile.

Lori is survived by her children, Scadi Helga Webb, Donald Hinson, Mary Saffold, and Michael Leslie Hinson; grandchildren Michael William Webb (Keri), Bryan Douglas Webb (Chris), David Shannon Webb (Sheilah), Delia Jeroline, Donald Blaine Hinson (Kris), and Michael Cody Hinson; and great-grandchildren Sofia and Ava Webb, and Ellison Wilcox. Lori cherished each generation deeply, and her love lives on in them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Joseph Hinson; her parents, Oskar Weismann and Maria Kreussel Weissman; son-in-law James William Webb; son Mark Wesley Hinson; siblings Annelise Carper (Roland), Helga Panz, Guenther Weissman (Elizabeth), and Juergen Weissman.

A graveside service will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Sandy Run Lutheran Church Cemetery in Swansea, SC.

Lori will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her devotion to her family, and the gentle, generous way she moved through the world. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and patience.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Sandy Run Lutheran Church.
