Anna Kamana'Olana Chun Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Walker Sanderson Funeral Home & Crematory - Orem on Dec. 3, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Our precious daughter, Anna Tomomi Kamana'olana Chun, returned to her Heavenly Father on November 25, 2025. Our family was not prepared to lose our precious baby so soon, but we are eternally grateful for the time we were able to spend with her. We joyfully welcomed Anna and her twin sister, Emma, on February 21, 2025. She embodied the meanings of her middle names-"Tomomi" (a beautiful friend) and "Kamana'olana" (a hopeful, calm anchor). She always had a smile on her face. Though Anna's life was short, it was filled with love, kisses, smiles, laughter, and excitement.
Together with Emma, Anna entered the world prematurely at 33 weeks' gestation at Utah Valley Hospital, where they both spent seven weeks in the NICU growing strong enough to come home together. From her first days, Anna's bright smile and infectious spirit of joy and happiness filled our home, teaching us to embrace each moment with a positive outlook and reminding us of the pure love that children bring from heaven. She loved being around her family and holding hands with her twin, Emma. Anna and her family were able to spend the summer in Hawaii with their extended family. She loved trying new foods and was especially fond of eating poi. Some of her favorite things to do were having dance parties in the living room with her siblings and having her siblings read to her.
Anna will be forever cherished and loved by her devoted parents, Peter and Christine Chun, and her beloved siblings: Ammon, Hyrum, Noah, Mary, George, and her identical twin sister, Emma.
Our family is deeply saddened and shocked by Anna's sudden passing, a loss that has left an unimaginable void in our lives. In the midst of this profound grief, we find solace in our faith in Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. We hold fast to the promise of eternal families, knowing that through the Savior's Atonement and Resurrection, Anna-innocent and exalted-will be restored to us in perfect form.
There are no words to fully express our gratitude to the friends, family, and neighbors who surrounded us with love and support on that heartbreaking night and continue to do so. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the first responders who acted with compassion and did everything in their power to help. Their kindness has been a tender mercy from the Lord during our darkest hour.
Though our hearts ache, we are eternally blessed for the time we had with Anna. She will forever inspire us to live with faith, love, and optimism, drawing us closer to our Savior and to one another. Aloha 'Oe, our sweet angel Anna, we love you forever.
A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30am at the LDS Chapel located at 422 East 400 South Street, Vineyard, UT 84059, followed by funeral services at 11:00am on Saturday, December 6th. A burial will be held on Monday, December 8th at 1:00pm at the Orem Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem, UT 84097.
A webcast of the service will be available at www.walkersanderson.com.
