Anna Louise Lamont

Anna Louise Lamont, 93, of Gettysburg, died on Friday, February 27, 2026 at home. Born December 14, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur Eugene Zepp and Nellie Waxter Zepp. She graduated from Westminster High School in 1949, the last class to graduate completing 11 years. They added the 12th the following school year, so no graduating class in 1950.

She graduated from Towson State Teachers College in 1969. She worked as a meat wrapper at A&P for 12 years. She was a member of the Maryland Teacher's Association and National Teacher's Association. She was a special physical education teacher and was the first Carrol County teacher to introduce roller skating in the physical education program. She started jump rope for heart through the American Heart Association in memory of her father Wilbur Zepp. Her team was called the Kangaroo Kids.

She is survived by her three children Lou Ann Snyder, Lynn Ball (Elmer) and Michael Lamont (Stephanie); 10 grandchildren Kelli, Candice, Andrea, Owen, Aubrey, Molly, Warren, Angie, Monica and Michael; 25 great-grandchildren Zachary, Gillian, Ella, Tyler, Noah, Madison, Conner, Gabriella, Charlotte, Nicholas, Breanna, Jake, Luke, Shyann, Gabriel, Mariah, Brayden, Calvin, Mason, Micheal, Cali, Colin, Cambrie, Savanna and Rowan; 5 great-great grandchildren Libby, Layla, Logan, Drew and Dayne, niece Babett (Brandy) Pru Todd and nephews Wilbur and Doyle Creel.

She was predeceased by her brother Karl Zepp and his wife Frances; sister Betty Creel and her husband Cecil; and great-grandson Chosen Ball.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, MD. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, MD. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Finksburg, MD.
