BURLEY – Anna Marie "Meah" (Nelson) Espinosa, a 76-year-old resident of Burley, passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
Anna was born May 24, 1949, in Burley, Idaho, the fifth of eight children born to Robert Wilford and Jessie Jean (Biggs) Nelson. She attended Burley schools and was the only one of her siblings to graduate high school. She loved children and was always taking care of her younger siblings and her nieces and nephews and even taking them to school with her at times. After graduating high school, when she wasn't taking care of children, she worked at housekeeping, cooking meals and baking goodies.
Anna had three daughters, and her girls were her pride and joy. She was always doing something with all or some of them. She loved quilting with them and working on other craft projects to give as Christmas gifts to grandkids and friends. Her favorite pastime was fishing, camping, or going for a ride to see the countryside or the mountains.
Anna married Arthur Espinosa on December 23, 2002, though they have been together for 37 years. This union added one more daughter to the mix.
Anna is survived by her husband, Arthur; her children, Sheri Nelson, Angie Nelson, Jessica Young, and step-daughter, Catrina; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Rae Dene (Marty) Gillette, Darla (Mike) Legault, and Linda (Lep) Mosely; brother, Gary Nelson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sharon Fairchild, and Paula Ramey; and brother, Wayne Nelson.
A private family gathering to remember Anna will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank Harrison's Hope Hospice for the exceptional care of our beloved mother, wife, and grandmother. They went above and beyond, exceeding our expectations in every way.
Donations to help with funeral expenses are deeply appreciated and can be sent via Venmo to Kaley Stone @kaleyjoo, or Cash App $kaleyjoo.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.
