Anna C. Dal Monte, 75, a 33-year resident of Port Chester, NY, and recently of Clark, NJ, passed away on August 16th, 2025 at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, NJ. Born in Piastowo, Poland, she moved to the United States when she was 19.
Anna graduated from Mercy University, NY with a bachelor's degree in psychology and held various jobs in the food research industry, most notably as a Food Scientist for Kraft Foods, where she concentrated on her studies in the sensory department. She traveled all over the country for research and testing purposes.
Although Anna loved working, she enjoyed peaceful days at home tending to her flower garden and spending time with her family. She valued helping and supporting many educational organizations. She was a devout Roman Catholic and made many religious pilgrimages worldwide, with her favorites being the Vatican and Jerusalem. She was a parishioner of St. Helen's Church in Westfield, NJ.
She is predeceased by her parents Czeslaw and Irena Moszczynski; her late ex-husband, Leon Kent and her sister, Izabella.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Michael Dal Monte; her son, Alexander Kent, his wife Kathrine and her beloved grandson Leonardo. Her siblings and their families, Barbara, Stefan, Malgorzata and Leszek; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and their families; as well as many close friends in NJ, NY, CT and former co-workers at Kraft Foods.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, August 21st from 4pm to 8pm at Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Ave. Westfield, NJ 07090. A Mass of Roman Catholic Burial will be held at St. Helen Roman Catholic Church, 1600 Rahway Ave, Westfield, NJ, 07090 on Friday, August 22nd at 10 am. Interment will follow at Novo-Diveevo Russian Orthodox Convent, 100 Smith Road, Nanuet, NY 10954.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anna's memory to St. Helen's Roman Catholic Church, 1600 Rahway Ave., Westfield, NJ 07090
