Anna Odom Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 5, 2025.
Anna Maude Odom passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of November 5, 2025. She was a native of Perry, FL, born on December 27, 1936, to the late William and Dossie Brannen.

Anna Maude married the love of her life, Robert Odom in November of 1958 at St. John's Baptist Church in Perry, Fl. From that moment, they started a family with their daughters Karen and Leslie. They were happily married until Robert's passing on September 23, 1993.

Anna Maude had a passion for being a hairdresser at her beauty shop in her home. She truly loved to style and cut hair while she talked about life with her friends, customers and family, which she did for many decades. Although she loved being a beautician, her true passion was the love she had for her grandchildren Bradley, Brandon (Karen), Julie and Tyler (Leslie). Every day she spent as much time as she could with them and showed them what unconditional love truly was.

Anna Maude Odom was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Marvin Dale, Sam, and Joe Brannen, as well as her sister Willa Benton and daughter Karen Grubbs.

She is survived by her daughter Leslie High (JD), grandchildren Bradley and Brandon Grubbs, Julie (Bowden) and Tyler High as well as a host of great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Webb officiating. Interment service will follow immediately after at Carlton Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service.
