Anna Orr

Anna Orr, 91, formerly of 1208 Jackson Avenue, Altoona, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, after an extended illness at Maybrook Hills. Born on June 19, 1933, Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Pio and Viola (Marinconz) Sicher. On April 21, 1956 she married Thomas J. Orr who preceded her in death on July 5, 2017. They were married for 61 years. Survived by her 3 children, Beverly Nardozza of Altoona, Barbara Orr of Lancaster, and Thomas (Brenda) Orr of Cresson; 8 grandchildren, Shauna (Steve) Polito, J.M (Julie) Nardozza, Rachael (Shawn) Bishop, Nick & Matt Ulmer, Jamie (Jared) Gibson, T.J. Orr, and Haley Orr; 10 great-grandchildren; and 5 siblings, Clara Hegedus, Dr. Bruno Sicher, Daria Hofbauer, Dr. Ermo Sicher and Nancy McKenna. Anna previously worked at Fishers, Mellon Bank and Boscov’s where she and her husband were Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause until they retired. She volunteered at Bon Secours Hospital for 12 years and then at St. John’s Retirement Home. A private viewing will be held for her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday September 13, 2024 at 10 a.m., Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Msgr. Stanley Carson celebrant. Committal Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
