Anna Joyce Porsch

Anna Joyce Porsch, 88 of Rhodes, died Tuesday evening February 11, 2025 at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland. She was born May 31, 1936 in Bay County, daughter of the late Allen Henry and Elizabeth (Holiday) Marshall. Anna grew up in Gladwin County, a graduate of Pinconning High School and she attended Seventh Day Adventist Churches in Midland and Gladwin. On July 18, 1954 she married Herman Edward Porsch, Sr. in Rhodes. Anna had operated an adult foster care out of her home for many years prior to working as a CNA at Town and Country Nursing Home in Midland. She survived cancer twice. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, sewing, cooking, baking and raising her family.
Anna is survived by one sister-in-law; Sandy Marshall, her children Joyce Pyke, Edward (Sid) Porsch, Herman Porsch Jr., Brian (Kandi) Porsch, Brenda (James) Watters, Jeff (Jody) Porsch and Sarah Berger. She has thirty-four grandchildren, fifty-two great grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Herman Edward Porsch Sr. on July 19, 2020, and by her siblings: Helen Thomas, Mary Milligan, Elizabeth "Betty" LaPan, Reba "Pearl" Wenglikowski, Jesse Steinmann, Earl Marshall, Julius Marshall, William Marshall and May Marshall.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place on May 31, 2025. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Adventist Community Services, 1113 E. Carpenter St. Midland, MI 48640
