Anna De Quevedo passed away peacefully of natural causes in Sequim, WA, on July 19, 2025, at 10:22 AM, surrounded by family. She was 87 years old.
The second child of Angel and Placida (Garcia) Jimenez, Anna Marie was born on March 28, 1938, in Santa Monica, California. She attended University High School in Los Angeles, and went on to attend Santa Monica Beauty College.
After graduation, Anna worked as a hairdresser at Lu-Ad Salon in Santa Monica. She married Miguel G. De Quevedo on April 1, 1967, at St. Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica. They had a home in Van Nuys, California where together they raised three children: Mike, Mary, and Eddie.
Worship held a central role in Anna's life, and she was a devoted member of St. Elisabeth Catholic Church in Van Nuys. Family was also very important to Anna. She prized spending time with loved ones, especially entertaining and hosting family at her home in the San Fernando Valley.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Angel and Placida Jimenez; her husband, Miguel G. De Quevedo; and brothers, Richard Jimenez, and Daniel Jimenez.
She is survived by her children Mike De Quevedo, Mary Johnson, and Edward De Quevedo; her sister, Stella Portillo; and her grandchildren, Alexxa De Quevedo, Ava Johnson, and Van Johnson.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
A Memorial Service will be held at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Port Angeles, Washington, on Friday, August 1, at 11:00 AM.
