She is predeceased by her husband Thomas "Leo" Reynolds, her sisters Mae McNeil, Shirley DeLazzer, and Connie Costello and her brothers, Roderick "Rod" McCormick and Harvey McCormick.

Rita cherished every moment spent with her family. As one of seven children, those connections meant everything to her. She traveled to Cape Breton often to visit loved ones, always returning with stories, laughter, and memories to share. A wonderful cook and an avid card player, she brought joy and comfort to every gathering.
