Anna Samplo, age 96, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Garden City, MI. Born on May 27, 1929, Anna left a profound impact through her creative endeavors and the love she shared with her family.
Anna showcased her artistic talents in various ways. She acted in the play "When You Strike Flint," presented by the UAW Worker's Concept Theatre. Additionally, she made an appearance in the film "American Beauty Ltd." As a writer, Anna penned the biography "The Bohmerwald is My Home: Memories of Maria 'Mitzi' Berg," reflecting her passion for the written arts.
She is survived by her loving son, Steven Samplo and step-granddaughter Angie. Anna is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Henry Samplo, her son, Eric Henry Samplo, and her siblings, Betty, Donna, James, and Kenneth. She is also reunited with her parents, Archie and Emma Cash. Anna was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family members and friends. Her spirit and contributions to both the arts and her family remain an enduring testament to her life and character.
