Anna Marie Selix, age 89 of Udell, Iowa, passed away Friday, July 17th, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Anna was born November 4, 1925 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Dewey and Ollie (Repp) Houser. On May 19, 1945 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Selix. Through this union, they had two sons, Kenneth and Roger Selix. She lived a very active life. Besides being a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Anna cooked at the Udell School for ten years. She was also the Secretary and Treasurer for the City of Udell for twenty four years. During this time, she also worked for the United States Postal Service for thirty four years, with twenty one years as the Udell Postmaster. She accepted Jesus as her savior at the age of 13, and has been a member of the Unionville Baptist Church since 1983. She loved all of God's creation, her family, church family, and missionary work day at church. Anna also had a special attraction to red birds. Anna is survived by her two sons, Kenneth (Sheila) Selix and Roger (Dana) Selix, all of Unionville, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Jacqueline Anne, Jennifer Nicole, Jillian Brooke, Jonathon Tyler, Travis Ray, Tammy Jo, and Taylor Cla; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd of 62 years; her parents Dewey and Ollie Houser; her sister and her husband, Mary Ellen (Lionel) Spring; two brothers and their wives, Dewey (Doris) Houser and Merle (Lois) Houser. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Unionville, Iowa Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in the Unionville Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville on Tuesday, July 21 from 9am-8pm, with the family greeting friends from 6-8 pm. Memorial contributions have been established to either the Unionville, Iowa Baptist Church or to the Unionville Cemetery and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
