Anna Stangler of Kilkenny, MN passed away on Friday, June 13th, 2025 surrounded by friends and loved ones at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester MN.

Anna was born on July 11, 1985, in Mankato. She was the daughter of Richard and Pamela (Hinton) Fischer. Anna was a 2003 graduate of Waterville-Elysian-Morristown HS and a 2007 graduate of Minnesota State-Mankato.

Anna was married to Nick Stangler on August 18th, 2007, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marysburg and raised three children together. Anna had countless hobbies and activities including coaching and playing softball, gardening, spending time at her pool, and being with many close friends. Without question Anna’s greatest love was her family, an almost supernatural momma bear, Anna balanced operating multiple businesses with her husband and running to every event, game, or practice for three very active children in addition to being the: go to, short notice, please can you give us a hand, person for just about everyone. Anna loved to chase. Loved to solve. One of her greatest joys after having children was helping her parents at the famed Fischer’s Corner Bar in Elysian. Watching her and her mother race around each other to feed everyone in a dance that they had done since well before Anna could drive. It was almost poetic.

Anna is survived by her husband Nick; children: Tyler (25), James (14), and Mya (12); parents, Rich and Pam Fischer of Elysian; sister: Audra (Kris) Poggi of Mankato and their four children; brother, Nick (Kaylie) Fischer of Waterville and their three children; maternal grandmother, Janet Hinton; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her grandparents.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at St. Canice Catholic Church in Kilkenny. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Funeral Service will be 12:00 PM on Monday, June 23, 2025 at St. Canice Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy Sandquist as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
