Anna Trijnte Vandermei

Anna Trijnte Vandermei passed away on October 13, 2025, in Santa Rosa. She was 87 years old. Anna was born in Hengelou, the Netherlands, in 1938. She spent her early childhood in Nazi-occupied Arnhem, Holland. Her father was in the Resistance and her mother was the stalwart woman who kept the family together and safe during the occupation and while they were refugees during the Battle of the Bulge.
Anna was something of a bohemian and lived in Sonoma County most of her adult life. One of her highlights was participating in Sonoma State's Expressive Arts program in the 70's. Later in life, she also worked for the State of California in the Parole department.
Anna is survived by her two sons, George and Adam Lancina.
