Anna Weiler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Meyers Funeral Home - Batesville on Mar. 12, 2026.
Anna Mae Weiler, age 97, of Loveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, surrounded by her daughter, Becky, and her two grandchildren, Jennifer and Elaine. She was born on June 26, 1928, in San Bernardino, California, the daughter of Elmer and Floris (née Rosson) Estes. She was married to Wilfred Weiler, who preceded her in death in 1966.

Anna graduated from Guilford High School in 1946. Throughout her life, she held various roles, including working as a nurse's aide, a secretary for an auctioneer, a Stanley Home Products sales representative, and eventually as a store manager for convenience stores. Above all, she cherished her roles as a mother and grandmother, and she deeply loved her family.

She was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Anna was known for her kindness, warmth, and sociability. She loved engaging in conversations, listening to others' stories, and sharing her own experiences with remarkable detail and clarity, even at an advanced age. She found great joy in simple pleasures, such as sitting on the porch with coffee while watching hummingbirds, observing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play, and reminiscing about early mornings spent having coffee with her father on the dock in Missouri.

Among her favorite sayings were "Things are rough all over" and the comforting reminder that "this too shall pass." Despite facing many hardships-including the loss of her brother Eugene "Buddy" Estes at age 16, the challenges of the Great Depression, and the impacts of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War-she maintained resilience and optimism throughout her life.

Anna is survived by her son, Rick (Linda) Weiler; her daughter, Rebecca Brewer; grandchildren: Michael (Kristen) Weiler, Bob Jr. (Chantel) Weiler, Chris (Carey) Weiler, Lisa (James) Whalen, Elaine (Joe) Roman, Jennifer (Aimee) Stewart, and Gloria (Dale) Massengill; 16 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren, with 5 more on the way. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Louise and Carleen Weiler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Anne Weiler; her sons, Mike Weiler and Bob Weiler; her brother, Eugene "Buddy" Estes; and her granddaughter, Cathy.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, Indiana. Burial will follow at St. Louis Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family and can be brought to the service or mailed to Meyers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006.

Anna Mae will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
