Anne Bendriem Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rose Funeral & Cremation - Mann on Jan. 30, 2026.
Anne Bendriem, age 65, of Knoxville, TN passed away on Jan 29, 2026.

Anne was born in Paris, France on August 21st, 1960. She moved to Knoxville, TN in 1998 with her husband and four children, where she built a life centered on family and devotion to others.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, Anne's greatest joy was caring for those around her. She was dedicated to her family, raising four children as a full-time mom providing a warm and nurturing home. Once her children were grown, she went back to school to get her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse to continue caring for others for several years before she retired.

Anne's home is the embodiment of her creativity and care, every room shaped and repaired by her hands. The house is filled wall to wall with her handmade wood pieces and her art, both lifelong hobbies of hers. She spent her last years doing what she enjoyed most, building beautiful furniture for the people whom she loved.

She was a dedicated member of the Jewish community. She volunteered with the Heska Amuna Sisterhood, Chabad of Knoxville, and Hadassah. She also taught art to children at the Knoxville Jewish Day School and Heska Amuna Religious School.

Anne is survived by her loving husband, Bernard, her four children, Raphael, Sonya, Nathan and Samuel, their respective spouses and partners Hadar, Edmund, Maeve and Connie, and her first granddaughter Talia.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Feb 1st at 1pm at Rose Funeral & Cremation - Mann (6200 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN, 37919). The burial will follow at the New Jewish Cemetery (1800 Glenn Avenue, Knoxville, TN, 37921).

Anne was a creative, compassionate, and nurturing woman who did so much for everyone around her. We will always remember delicious Shabbat dinners at the Bendriem home, and her famous chocolate roll that everyone loved and requested. So many acts, large and small, make up a person´s time on earth and her community will cherish those memories deeply.
