Anne Marie [Pierre] Calixte, 97, a woman of profound faith and gentle strength, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, at Laurel Ridge Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Her passing followed a period of declining health. She was married to the late Augustin Calixte, her one and only true love whom she shared over 49 years of marriage until his passing in 1993.
Born in Plaisance, Haiti, to the late Alexis Pierre and Marguerite Lespinasse, Anne Marie embodied unwavering faith and humility throughout her life. A devout Catholic, she never missed Sunday Mass, allowing her gentle spirit and boundless generosity to leave an indelible mark on all who had the blessing of knowing her.
Anne Marie was also renowned in Cap-Haïtien for her exceptional talent as a seamstress. Her craftsmanship brought both beauty and comfort to many and earned her admiration and respect throughout the community.
Anne Marie is survived by her loving children: Faidherbe and his wife Maria-Jose Garcia of Sevilla, Spain; Carol and his wife Myrlande Polycarpe of Cap-Haïtien, Haiti; Oenone of
Milton, MA; Jocelyne and her husband Herve Pean of Foxborough, MA; Pierre-Michel of
Milton, MA; and Myriame and her husband Arsene Bien-Aime of Randolph, MA.
She is survided by 20 cherished grandchildren: Alyssa, Barbara, Brian, Carel, Carl-Andy, Cassandra, Emmanuel, Estefan, Faiguy, Gaelle, Graziella, Gregory, Guerline, Haisha, Hardine, Marvin, Mike, Natalia, Rhode-Carla and Thania.
She leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren: Allison, Aniah, Anthony, Brea, Carl-Andy Jr., Elijah, Jasmyne, Jeremiah, Mandisa, Mathieu, Natalie and Noelle.
Anne Marie is also survived by her sisters Anne Rema, Hilda Bordenave, Claudette Bordenave, along with numerous relatives from the Bien-Aime, Bordenave, Calixte, Desronville, Garcia, Jean-Gilles, Jeannite, Justafort, Pean, Pierre, Polycarpe, Rema and Telfort families.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Laurel Ridge Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care during Anne Marie's final days.
Anne Marie's life was a testament to selfless devotion and quiet resilience. She will be remembered for her unwavering commitment to her family, her kind, generous, and gentle spirit. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Visitation Parish in Saint Elizabeth Church, Saturday, July 5th at 10AM. Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Saturday from 8:30-9:30AM. Interment private
