After a period of declining health, Anne passed away on Tuesday November 25, 2025. She was born in Montague City, MA February 2, 1940, Groundhog Day. Anne grew up in Greenfield, MA and attended local schools, graduating as a Registered Nurse from Providence Hospital School of Nursing. She married and moved to South Hadley to raise her family. She spent most of her career at Willimansett Nursing Home (east and west) retiring after 36 years. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years and spent many joyful vacations listening to the waves on the beaches of the Cape, Maine and Misquamicut. One of her favorite places was Ten Point Club in Vermont, where she enjoyed so much time with her family growing up. A special place where memories are continuing today with the next generations. Anne was predeceased by her parents J. Richard Laurie and Anita (Paul) Laurie of Greenfield, MA and Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was also predeceased by her husband Louis A. Conti of South Hadley in 2010, her brother Richard Laurie in 1998 and his wife Elaine in 2002, both of Greenfield, MA. Anne is survived by her children, Laurie-Ann Conti of South Hadley and James A. (Carol) Conti of Phoenix, AZ, her grandchildren, Carissa (Jackie) Sanca of Milford, CT and Cameron Conti of Phoenix, AZ, her great granddaughter Rory Sanca of Milford, CT and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Anne also leaves two dear cousins, Patricia Rogers of Sandwich, MA and Yvette Bissell of Turners Falls, MA and her best friend of more than 60 years, Chris Garvin of Montague, MA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Louis A. Conti Athletic Scholarship Fund at South Hadley High School, 153 Newton St., South Hadley, MA 01075. The funeral Mass will be Thursday December 4, 2025 at 11 am in St. Patrick’s Church in South Hadley. The O’Brien Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
