ANNE MARIE (SEMINATORE) GUZZO – of Wilmington, died peacefully at her home, September 25th at the age of eighty-eight. She was the beloved wife of sixty-six years to Joseph A. "Joe" Guzzo.

Born and raised in Woburn, Anne was a daughter of the late Joseph and Marjorie Radcliff Seminatore. Raised in the Hammond Square section of the city, Anne was a graduate of Woburn High School along with the Class of 1952. Following high school, Anne continued her education at Lowell State Teachers College, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, in 1956.

In 1959, she wed her beloved sweetheart and best friend, Joe Guzzo. Their love story began at the once-popular "Donut Kitchen," situated in the heart of Hammond Square! Over the next sixty-six years, they traveled through life together, welcoming three children whom they have wholeheartedly devoted themselves to.

From the birthday, and holiday celebrations to neighborhood block parties, and gatherings, if there was something to celebrate, they did! For many years they would travel to St. Maarten, which was their favorite place to visit.

Teaching was a true passion for Anne. She relished the challenge of educating students at the various elementary schools in Woburn, ultimately retiring from the Goodyear School. Most of her years were dedicated to teaching second grade and she just loved it! Additionally, she possessed a remarkable talent for playing the piano and organ and did so throughout the years for just about most of the school performances!

Anne was a very kind, compassionate woman. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and teacher. Her career spanned over forty years, during which she touched countless lives with her warmth and dedication. Anne's classroom was a place where young minds were not only educated but also nurtured, and her influence extended beyond academic lessons as she instilled values of kindness and curiosity in her students.

Her love for music was infectious, often bringing joy to most of the school events and family gatherings alike with her piano (and) organ performances. Anne's musical talents were a testament to her belief in the power of arts in education, and she encouraged her students to embrace their own creativity.

In her personal life, Anne was the heart of her family, creating a home filled with love and laughter. Her children and grandchildren fondly remember her storytelling, her delicious homemade meals, baked treats and her unwavering support in all their endeavors. Anne's legacy is one of love, learning, and the joy of sharing life's moments with those she cherished most.

In addition to her husband Joe, Anne is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Teresa "Teri" Torchia, her husband Olivier Morteau of Medford, Lisa Nett, her husband Bill of Salem, NH, Jay Guzzo, his companion, Amy Boris of Wilmington, and daughter-in-law, Adriana Guzzo of North Reading. Dear sister of Marie Seminatore of Woburn, Marjorie "Bunny" Ryan, her husband Jack, also of Woburn, Josephine Callahan, her late husband John, of CT, Roberta Rosa, her late husband Joseph of NH and sister-in-law of Robert Massa of NH, his late wife Anna Massa, Richard "Dick" Guzzo, and his late wife Marie. Adored grandmother of Nolan and his companion Kesha, Anthony, Annalise, Sofia, Julia, Joey, great-grandmother of Liam, and pre-deceased by her beloved grandson Jimmy. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
