Miss Carroll was an inspiration and a outright gift to all of her students. She was smart, kind, and so beautiful. Yes, all of the boys were in love with her. My sincere sympathies and prayers to all the Klinges.

How happy we were to have Miss Carroll and her husband Bob Klinges at our 2008 Annunciation BVM School 46th reunion party. Most of us had not seen Miss Carroll since we left her third-grade classroom in 1957. In 2008 we reminisced that all the girls wanted to be like Miss Carroll, and all the boys adored her; she was our beautiful, smart, kind teacher. Girls remembered Miss Carroll being escorted home at the end of the school day in a black, fancy car; boys remembered the kind of car and its year. Miss Carroll took a lot of time to chat with each of us at our 2008 reunion. And, though she said she taught "so many children," she seemed to feel still that each of us deserved her attention and time. Everybody has a "teacher story" to tell. And our stories of Miss Carroll are good, fond tales of a beautiful, kind, young teacher. Her generous teacher's heart lit up our lives.

To all in the Klinges family,
My husband Charley and I send our most sincere condolences on the loss of such a wonderful woman. I first met Anne when she was in a leadership role with the Women's Auxiliary of St. Francis Country House. Anne served as President of the organization the year that I became a member. I will always remember her welcome and her sense of humor which put me at my ease. We found through the years that our other connections were being alums of Sacred Heart and the discovery that she had taught my husband when he was in third grade at Annunciation BVM. She thoroughly enjoyed this latter discovery as did my husband. At a reunion for his class at Annunciation, the one teacher that everyone wished to see again was Miss Carroll (Anne).
We were able to make that happen and she was the hit of the reunion.
It was always a pleasure to be in Anne's company and she will be greatly missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

With sincerest sympathy,
Charley and Mari Connolly

Dear Bobby and all the Klinges', I am so sorry to learn of your mom's passing. "Aunt Anne" was such a warm and elegant lady! She is with your dad now. May she rest in peace. MarySheila
