Anne Marie Glackin, 89, of Quakertown, passed away at home on August 30, 2025. She was born in Montclair, NJ on December 10, 1935 to the late Chester Michael McEvoy and Anna (Murn) McEvoy. Anne Marie was the loving wife to Thomas Patrick Glackin for 39 years until his passing in 1997. She graduated from Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child in Summit, N.J., and St. Elizabeth University in Morristown, NJ. Anne Marie worked in early education for fifty years. She earned the Association Montessori International Teaching Certificate in the late 1960s from the Montessori Center of New Jersey teacher training center under Lakshmi Kripalani in Montclair, NJ. She began her teaching career at Mastro Montessori School in Little Silver, NJ. Later she earned the Masters of Education at Loyola University Maryland for certification to teach Montessori in the primary grade levels. She taught for many years at the Acorn Montessori School in Annandale, NJ. Anne Marie was very active in the St. Isidore Parish community. She found great joy in her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Anne Marie is survived by her children Eileen Grodziak (Peter), Timothy Glackin (Geraldine), Brian Glackin (Stacy), and Sheila Glackin; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband; parents; son Sean Glackin; and siblings Richard McEvoy and Geraldine McEvoy.
All are invited on Saturday, September 6, 2025 to St. Isidore's Roman Catholic Chuch, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951 for a visitation from 11am-11:45am, and a funeral Mass at 12pm. Interment will follow at St. Isidore's Cemetery, Quakertown.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution via a check made payable to "Saint Jean Baptist de LaSalle Scholarship Fund" and collected through the funeral home. Can be mailed to Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951.
