Anne McCully Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home - Macon on Dec. 18, 2025.
Anne Taylor McCully, 85, of Callao, Missouri, passed away on December 15, 2025, in her home, surrounded by family and love.
Anne was born in Paterson, New Jersey and graduated from Freehold High School in Freehold, NJ. Having spent her early years on the East Coast, she carried a life long love of the ocean. She moved to Missouri and completed her nursing education. She met and married Bill McCully; they have been married 54 years. Anne deeply loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She was a devoted animal lover, especially fond of her cats and dogs, who were a constant source of comfort and companionship.
During her many years at the Missouri Division of Aging, she worked side-by-side with her teammate Darleen Cuppy, and together they became known as the "Carebears," a testament to their warmth, dedication and genuine care for others. Anne also enjoyed a wide range of hobbies: crafting, making quilts, bowling, and taking trips to the casino or playing the lottery-always for fun and with a hopeful smile.
Anne is survived by her husband Bill McCully; her sister, Joyce Eberlin of PA; two brothers: Lawrence Taylor and Gilbert Taylor of NJ; four children: Deborah Cordonnier of NJ, Bob Moy, Carla Evans and her husband Craig, and Leslie McCully and his wife Robin of Missouri; her grandchildren: Jamie Moy, who has been an important caregiver the past three years; Alyssa Johnson and husband Ethan; Amanda Brown and husband Matt; Adrienne Evans; Shaina Cox and husband Chris; Luke Cordonnier of North Carolina; Austin Evans and wife Hannah; Lauren McCully; Tyler McCully, and Laycee McCully-all in Missouri except as noted. She also has great grandchildren: Kira DeFranza of New Jersey, Analyse Johnson, Britton Cox, Lillie Kate Evans, and Brinley Cox-all in Missouri except as noted.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents Anne Taylor and Richard Taylor; in-laws Rene and Fern McCully; aunt Margaret (Peg) Mayron; brothers Robert Taylor and Raymon Taylor; cousin Joseph Mayron; sons William (Billy) Moy and Eric McCully; and great grandson Beckett Cox.
Funeral services will be 12:00 pm, Friday, December 19, 2025, at Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until noon, at the funeral home. The family expresses deep appreciation for the wonderful care provided to Anne by Compassus, hospice of Macon. The family suggests memorials to the Autism Society of America.
