Anne O'Shea Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, Inc. on Feb. 13, 2026.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Marie O'Shea, 95, on February 12, 2026. She was surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. She was a devoted wife, the best mom ever, a cherished grandmother, a beloved sister, and a loving aunt whose warmth and kindness touched everyone around her.

Anne was born in White Plains, New York on November 23, 1930 to Theresa (nee Lupardi) and Peter Russo and lived her life in faith as a devoted Catholic. She married her childhood sweetheart and beloved husband of 63 years, William, on June 19, 1949 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and together they created a beautiful life for their daughter, Christine, and their son, Daniel. They worked side by side for many years, running the deli and stationery stores they owned, building their family's life through hard work, dedication, and love.

To her children, Anne was one of a kind. The best mother they could ever ask for. She was always there for them, supportive, and selfless in every way. Her love was constant and her presence a source of comfort throughout their lives. To her grandchildren, Nana was magical. She lovingly prepared big Saturday night dinners. They picked honeysuckles and shared their sweetness, played Blackjack and Poker, colored, and wrote poems at the small kitchen table. There were McDonald's dates and trips to Toys "R" Us-simple moments that became lifelong memories. She will be deeply missed and remembered forever.

Anne is survived by her son, Daniel (Susan) O'Shea of Stamford, CT, her daughter, Christine (Gerard) Sinopoli of Tarrytown, NY, her five grandchildren: Deanna, Kevin, and Steven O'Shea, and Brianna, and Nicholas Sinopoli, and her sister Camille Morello. She is predeceased by her brother, Peter Russo, and her sisters Nancy Caridi, Frances Meany, and Delores Russo.
