I met Anne through the Magnet4Europe project. She was one of our partners and supporters through UPMC Hamot. I was very lucky to be able to visit her there with my colleagues. She was so creative and inspiring, a really special person. The party in her garden with the fireworks will always be a fond memory for me.
It is an honor for me to have met Anne.
I would like to convey my condolences.

So sorry to hear of Anne's passing. I have only known her for a short period as working as receptionist for Springhill but she was always bringing us breakfast when she would visit. She was a great cook also, everything was always wonderful. Her smile was contageous and she was just a wonderful person to get to know. praying for the family!

I am very grateful to have been able to get to know Anne. Our hospitals collaborated in the Magnet4Europe project and we learned a lot from our American friends. Anne and her team visited us in Osnabrück, Germany, and my colleagues and I had the chance to visit UPMC Hamot in Erie. Anne welcomed us in her house and started a big party with a lot of pyrothechnics.
I am very sad, and I would like to convey my condolences. Anne was such a strong and amazing woman. She left a very lasting impression and is and will always be fondly remembered.

Our fond memories of Anne, and her younger sister Birgit, goes way back to when they were happy energetic pre-teens climbing all over our apple tree in our yard when visiting at our house on Moorheadville road in North East. The last encounter with Anne, also long ago, happened at The Wilderness Lodge when she skied with her dad Niels.

Anne was an amazing mentor and an idol to me during the start of my nursing education and the beginning of my career. I first met Anne when she became the Unit Director of the UPMC Hamot Emergency Department while I was working as an ER Technician. She was a great supervisor while working there and even offered me a nursing position in the ER or ICU upon my graduation. Anne will be missed but her impact on the nursing profession will continue to live on. My thoughts and prayers with Anne and her family/friends during this difficult time.

I will always remember working with Anne at Hamot. She came to help in the CVICU during covid and helped me give my patient a bed bath. The extra help was so appreciated during a difficult time. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by many.
