Anne Marie Raney, 44, was born on March 26, 1981 to Randy W. Skinner and Cynthia Lynn (Karr) Skinner. She was preceded in death by her mother; maternal grandparents, Calvin and Rosemary Karr; paternal grandparents, Wallace and Marie Skinner; fathers-in-law, Charles Raney and Chuck Tidmore and sister-in-law, Natasha Brewer.
Anne was a woman whose gentle spirit and steady love made every space she entered feel softer, warmer, and more welcoming, she lived her life with quiet strength and a deep devotion to the people she cared for, always putting her family first. Her husband, Derrick, and their boys, Cash and Cade, were the center of her world. She loved being a mother more than anything, and she poured her heart into raising her sons with kindness, patience, and unwavering love.
She was gifted in countless ways; she could sew almost anything, from purses to blankets, and her hands created pieces that her family will cherish forever. She was an incredible cook and baker, known for meals that brought everyone together around the table. Anne had that rare ability to fix almost anything, to find a solution in moments of chaos, and to bring calm when life felt overwhelming. She gave without expecting anything in return, choosing compassion over complaint even in the hardest seasons of life.
Her faith was the foundation of who she was. Anne and Derrick were baptized together; a moment that reflected their shared commitment of God to one another. As members of Clayton Avenue Baptist Church in
Hugo, Oklahoma, Anne lived out her faith quietly but beautifully, through her generosity, loyalty and tender heart.
She carried that same dedication into her work. Anne spent years serving in the Hugo and Soper school systems as a paraprofessional, supporting students with patience and compassion. Later, she worked as a secretary at Southwest Fab, where she was known for her reliability and kindness. In recent years, she found joy traveling on the road with Derrick, making memories she deeply treasured.
Anne touched every life she encountered with her sincerity and her unshakeable love. She leaves behind not just memories, but a legacy of strength, of gentleness, of faithfulness and of a life well lived with purpose and heart. Her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fill, but the impression she made on her family and friends will remain forever.
Anne is survived by her loving husband, Derrick Raney; sons, Cash Ryan Raney and Cade Bryan Raney; father, Randy Skinner; brothers, Kyle Skinner, Aarron Michael Skinner, Shane Skinner, Aaron John Skinner, Adam Skinner, Brandon Skinner, Christopher Carpenter and Joseph Skinner; sisters, Rosa Skinner, Sabrina Abney, Kristie Fairless, Megan Griffin and Kellie Collins; mother-in-law, Kay Tidmore and sisters-in-law, Charla Davis and Dana Nash, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
