Anne Rapini Obituary

Anne (Martone) Rapini, 101, passed peacefully on July 12, 2023, with her children by her side. Born in New Haven on February 25, 1922, daughter of the late Rose (Trotta) and Thomas Martone. Predeceased by her husband of 77 years, Albert; and her loving son, Dennis Joseph Rapini.
Anne will be remembered always as a caring and dedicated mother to Janice DeVylder, Dennis and Linda Rapini, Albert and Marla Rapini, as well as Darryl Rapini and Audrey Chung; grandmother to Michelle DeVylder and Seth Abbott; Peter J. DeVylder, Matthew Rapini, as well as Sandra Yost; and great-grandmother to Rhett Abbott.
Anne was a resident of Orange for 60 years, and was actively involved in her community, including membership of the Orange Garden Club and Holy Infant Women's Guild. She was a woman of faith, and a devout Catholic who participated in daily Mass on television. Anne was an avid fan of UConn Women's Basketball, spent hours listening to music, and enjoyed her hobby of needlework. Her fondest joy was supporting all of her children's endeavors.
Arrangements were entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 15th, from 9 to 10:30am. Her formal procession will then depart for a Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 11 o'clock in Holy Infant Church, Orange. Interment will follow in Orange Center Cemetery.
