Anne E. Wierbicka

Anne E. Wierbicka, age 100, formerly of 101 Westview Terrace, Berlin, CT died on January 30th at Jerome Home.

She was born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Brodzik) Wierbicki. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Labor Department with the State of Connecticut for 38 years. Anne was a parishioner of St. Paul's Church in Kensington.

She is survived by six nieces and nephews, Elaine Sivyer of Warner, NH, James Clark of Villanova, PA, Victoria Cronan of Warner, NH, Margaret Avallone of Torrington, CT, Jeffrey Gostyla of West Hartford, CT, Stephen Wierbicki of East Hartford, CT; a very beloved grand nephew, Troy Gostyla of West Hartford, CT; and several other great nieces, great nephews, great grand nieces and great grand nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph Wierbicki, Nicholas Wierbicki and Simon Wierbicki and four sisters, Jean Egan, Lucy Clark, Pauline Wierbicka and Barbara Gostyla.

A prayer service will be held at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home in Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Kensington on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 11 AM. Burial will follow thereafter at Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Britain. Friends may call at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10:30 AM.
