Anne Williams Obituary
Born October 4, 1968 (also known as Ocatober number 4), at Des Moines General Hospital in Des Moines, IA to the parents of Warren G. H and Laura Lizotte. Anne took pride in telling everyone she was BORN AND RAISED on the Eastside.
Anne graduated from East High School in 1987 and married Alonzo Q Williams Jr in 1994. They had two children, Lauran and Alonzo IV (Tre).
She enjoyed socializing with family, friends and friends that were family. She was a huge Eagles fan, but her grandson Arlon will always be her number one player. She collected dream catchers and enjoyed messing with (sometimes annoying) her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Anne is survived by her spouse of 35 years, Alonzo Q Williams Jr, her daughter Lauran A Williams, her son Alonzo Q Williams (Tre), 3 grandchildren Arlon, Demira and Princess, mother Laura VanGundy, sister Terri VanGundy and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Proceeded in death by her father Warren G. H Lizotte, maternal and paternal grandparents, sister Laura VanGundy, father Terry VanGundy and Hennessy, her four-legged granddaughter that passed away July 11, 2025.
There will be a celebration of life on September 6, 2025, from 12-4 pm at MLK shelter located at 1650 Garfield Ave in Des Moines, Ia. 50316.
Donations can be made to Alonzo, Lauran and Tre Williams.
