Mrs. Annette Kitchens was born on March 24, 1952, in Dawson, Georgia, to the late George and Ella Bell Billings.

At an early age, Annette confessed her life for Jesus Christ and joined St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church. She later joined ATOC AME Church as a dedicated member who attended church on a regular basis, and she served as a bookkeeper and custodian. Annette also attended Carver High School in the Terrell County school system, and she graduated with the graduating class of 1970. In 1971, she married the late Rudolph Kitchens, and they had one daughter, the late Sheila Denise Kitchens, in 1976.

On Thursday, September 18, 2025, Annette transitioned into eternal rest with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Kitchens; only child, Sheila Denise Kitchens; parents, George and Ella Bell Billings; stepfather, Henry Butler; brothers, George Billings, Jr., Willie James Billings, and Walter C. Billings; brothers-in-law, Willie Slaughter, Jr., William Reese, Jr., and Thomas Castleberry; and sisters-in-law, Al-Jean Billings and DeAnna Billings.

Those left to cherish her memories are her granddaughter, Devon Greene of Albany, GA; sisters, Julia Castleberry and Georgia Slaughter of Dawson, GA, Lucy Reese of Bronwood, GA, and Eula Davis (Tommy) of Leesburg, GA; sister-in-law, Annie Mae Minter Billings of Dawson, GA; two dedicated nieces, Willie Jean Hill and Lisa Billings of Atlanta, GA, and one dedicated niece, Lashelle Reese Terry (Wilne) of Albany, GA, who served as her caretaker, friend, and advocate; four dedicated friends, Fred Ann Hall, Teresa Pearman, Loretta Jones, and Charles Greene; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss and mourn her dearly.
