Annette "Toni" M. Prewitt, 101, of Troy, MO, formerly of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Annette Mary was born May 28, 1924, in Sioux City, the daughter of John and Bessie (Bouzanis) Mehess. Toni met the love of her life, Vernon, at the Sioux City Battery, where they both worked. They were married on August 14, 1948.

Toni was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She loved to bowl, play cards, bingo, and bunco with family and friends. She was a loving wife and mother, and considered by all who knew her, a very sweet and kind woman.

Toni is survived by her daughter Mary Ann and her husband Larry McCoy of Troy, MO, a son John and his wife Carol Prewitt of Edmond, OK; grandchildren: Amanda and her husband Scott Shelmire of Wentzville, MO, Michelle and her husband Keith Slagle of Wentzville, MO, and Jonathan and wife Allie of Piedmont, OK; great grandchildren: Landon and Brayden Shelmire, Hailey and Maci Slagle, and Lainey Prewitt; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vernon Prewitt, a sister Mary Glarum, and four brothers: Gus, George, Tom, and Art Mehess.

Memorial Contributions may be given in Toni’s name to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
