Annette Sue Stannard, 88 of Hudson WI, died on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, at Regions Hospital, St. Paul, MN. She was born in Wausau, WI on March 29th, 1937. Ann was the daughter of Arthur and Irma Krause. She had one brother, Rev. Gerald Krause.

Ann and her husband, Rev. Dr. Don Stannard were married for 64 years. They had four children. Philip, deceased, Ellen Herder, Dr. Mark Stannard and Benjamin Stannard.
Ann was a 1955 graduate of Wausau High School and earned her BS degree from Hamline University in 1959. She was a math teacher at Green Bay East High School and a math teacher at Howard Junior High in Wilmette, Illinois.

For 15 years she was the Office Manager for Audiology Associates in River Falls, Wisconsin. Ann lived in Sturgeon Bay from 1965-1971 and in retirement from 1998-2008
Ann was musically talented playing the pipe organ, piano and participating in Bell Choir for over 40 years.

Ann is survived by her husband Rev. Dr. Don Stannard; children Ellen (David) Herder, Dr. Mark (Claudia) Stannard, Benjamin (Jodi) Stannard; grandchildren Dr. Juli (Dr. Michael) Winters, Andrew (Kalyn) Herder, Philip (Sonja) Herder, Lars, Lydia, & Miles Stannard; great-grandchildren Neil, Dean & Macy Herder, and Roy & August Winters.

She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Irma Krause; son Philip Stannard; brother Rev. Gerald Krause.

There will be a visitation on Friday, May 2nd from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Hudson. A memorial celebration of her life with lunch to follow will be on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at 11:00 am at Spirit of Grace United Methodist Church, 127 South 2nd Street, River Falls, Wisconsin. Memorials may be designated to the Bell Choir of the River Falls, the Bell Choir of United Methodist Church of Hudson, or P.E.O. ELF Scholarship Fund for women.
