Annette Uddin

Annette (Page) Uddin departed this world on November 25, 2022. She was born on August 6, 1957, to the late Nathaniel and Gloria (Swanson) Page in Welch, West Virginia. Annette graduated from Northfork High School in 1975 and worked as a candy striper at Stevens Clinic Hospital where she discovered her love of nursing. Annette moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she got her LPN degree while working at Villa Teresa Hospital and she later attended Hocking Technical School of Nursing in Athens, Ohio where she got her RN degree. Annette worked for Grant Hospital where she would meet her best friend, Terri Jones. While attending nursing school Annette would commute back and forth through snow and rain, sleet, and hail to get that degree.
Annette moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, and there she began her service of working as a charge nurse at a local nursing facility in West Palm Beach, Florida for the next twenty plus years. Annette was called upon to do work during the hurricanes that hit Florida and diligently worked in good health and bad health. Annette retired from nursing in 2002.
Annette was a devoted, loving sister and friend. She had a long list of friends, and she gave her all to make sure they were okay. She loved doing work in the church. Annette loved to make birthday cards and ornaments for friends and family. Annette cared for her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. Cooking was another passion for Annette. She loved to cook Jamaican food and Indian food was her favorite. Annette was an inspiration to all around her, and she helped so many people-too many to name. Annette loved to travel, laugh, and play jokes on you. Above all, she was a prankster and always had to have the last word.
Annette is preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Gloria Page, Gloria who passed just three months ago. Annette is survived by siblings, Tanya (Roger) Cousins, Ziva Page, Glenda Swanson, and Dollie Mae Swanson Piper; special sister, Mary Beck; nephews, CJ Piper, Andre Piper, Michael Piper, Tristan (Dorothy) Swanson, Rodrick (Rochesia) Woods, Ramel (Heather) Woods; neices, Alia Swanson, Zantasia Page, Arania Page-Greene; great neice, Shatayah Swanson; great nephew, Tairhon Swanson; a host of great nieces and nephews; her friends in West Palm Beach-Brian, Carrie (Tony) Armour; Mr. and Mrs. Armour; and special friends, Charles Dyson and Terri Jones.
Special thanks to Terri Jones, Charles Dyson, Sabrina Thompson, and Tony Armour for being there for Annette. Words cannot express our gratitude for standing by Annette for so many years.
