Annie Fulford Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Krause Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Inc. - Brookfield on Dec. 4, 2025.
Annie began her journey into motherhood at a young age, welcoming her first child at 16. Though she left school early, sometime around the eighth grade, her life was a masterclass in wisdom, resilience, and love that no classroom could have taught. She later relocated from Alabama to Chicago, courageously picking up her life and starting anew, her story woven into the larger story of Black families migrating north in search of opportunity and stability.

Those who knew Annie will remember her humor, her warmth, and her down-to-earth spirit. She loved to have a good time, to dance, fish and cooking soul food. You could always sit and simply be with her, talk, laugh, and feel completely at ease. She found joy in the simple things: her crossword puzzles, old classic movies, playing solitaire, spades, dominos & spending time with her children & great grandchildren.

Annie loved life, and she loved love. She poured so much of herself into the people she cared for and inspired those around her to never give up. No matter how many things seemed to be against them. Her story is one of strength, courage, and a quiet, steady determination to keep going.

Annie leaves behind her seven children: Amanda, Maurice, Tracey, Darrin, Dorea, Rhonda, and Karen to a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Her life and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: And the spirit shall return unto YAH, who gave it. – Ecclesiasticus 12:7

Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands.

Visitation will take place at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:15 PM with a Service to follow.
