Annie Laura Hyde was born in Oakman and lived her entire life Walker County. She married the love of her life, Woody, after having to admit to him she was only 16 and her mom would have to sign for her-typical Mama Hyde!

She was a force of nature and loved by all. Her energy was contagious. Whether she was out and about with her best friend Francis, in the early days, or taking her great granddaughter through the imaginary zoo in the backyard in later years, Annie always looked for the fun things. Even when bedridden she told her great grandson stories as he cuddled next to her.

She loved her family and they were her life. She had a special relationship with every member that each will treasure always. She loved being a grandmother to Ivey. She would guide her saying, "Now listen to your Mama Hyde."-sweet memories!

Annie was blessed in her last years to add a new family member. Sheena Kell became her bonus daughter, caring for her with a love and tenderness that was indescribable. Nikki Hyche joined the family circle in Mama Hyde's last days. Nikki cared for her so lovingly during those last difficult days.

A special thank you to everyone at Hospice of North Alabama for giving Annie such wonderful care.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Walker Memory Gardens. Johnny Martin will officiate.

Mrs. Hyde was preceded in death by her Mother-Marie Martin; Father-Olan Martin; Husband-Woody Hyde.

She is survived by her Son-Woody Martin Hyde (Carol); Granddaughter-Ivey Marie; Great Grandchildren-Kadence Marie and Dax Martin.
