Annie Clay Jamison passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina, at the age of 91. Born on January 3, 1934, in Norway, South Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of the late Willie Harley and Annie Lee Kearse Harley. Annie's life was a testament to love, resilience, faith, and unwavering devotion to family and community. She spent her early years in Norway before moving to Columbia in 1972, where she continued to build a life rooted in faith, service, and compassion.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Annie began her spiritual journey at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Norway. After relocating to Columbia, she became a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she remained active for as long as her health allowed. Her love for God and her church family shone through her dedication to service and her generous spirit.
Throughout her life, Annie wore many hats with grace and strength. She worked diligently as a housekeeper and caregiver, roles that reflected her nurturing heart and tireless work ethic. Her care extended far beyond her own family, and she became a pillar of support to many within her community. Her home was always open, and her heart even more so.
Annie found joy in life's simple pleasures: playing cards with friends and family, cooking delicious meals that gathered loved ones around the table, shopping for little treasures, and giving back to others. Known as an exceptional cook, her dishes brought comfort and joy to everyone who tasted them. Her involvement with the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 4262 further reflected her lifelong commitment to service and community.
She will be remembered for her loving nature, caring heart, understanding presence, and unshakable will. Annie had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, heard, and loved, offering honesty, encouragement, and warmth to all. She especially cherished children and remained deeply devoted to all five generations of her family.
Annie's legacy of love and kindness lives on through those who knew and loved her: her devoted daughter and caregiver LaTrell Jamison; children Matthew Jamison, Leon Jamison, Robert Jamison, and Trina Johnson; her loving granddaughter and caregiver LaTanya Dukes; special grandchildren LeRone Jamison and Tesa Conerly. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She now joins in eternal rest her beloved daughter Margaret Conerly; sons Willie Jamison, Bernard Jamison, and Baby Jamison; siblings Willie Mae Wade, Jannie Lou Harley, and John Wesley Harley; and her former spouse Marion Jamison Jr.
Annie's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
May her legacy of love, faith, and service continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

God saw you getting tired
When a cure was not to be.
So he wrapped His arms around you and whispered, "Come to me". You didn't deserve what you went through, so He gave you a rest. God's garden must be beautiful, for He only takes the best. And when I saw you sleeping, so peaceful and free from pain, I could not wish you back to suffer that again. Rest in peace Grandma. The memories I have of you I will hold in my heart.
