Annie F. Lindquist

Annie F. Lindquist, 97, of Franklin Grove, formerly of Sterling, died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Franklin Grove Living Center. Born August 10, 1917 in White Cloud, Michigan she was the daughter of John L. and Anna (Peters) Fritz. She married Lester R. Lindquist on December 31, 1945 in Rockford. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1988. Annie enjoyed sewing, collecting dolls, making doll clothing, crafts, dancing and listening to music, especially opera. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She had previously resided in Florida before moving to Illinois, residing in Rockford, Sterling and currently Franklin Grove. Surviving are her sons, Jack (Marla) Lindquist of Naperville and Jeff (Lisa) Lindquist of Sterling; a step son Dale (Bobbi) Lindquist of Fort Collins, CO; a daughter in law, Susan Lindquist of Texas; a step son in law, Gene Ellis of Florida; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a step daughter Lulu Ellis; two sons, Edwin and Forrester Lindquist, and ten sisters. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 505 First Avenue, Sterling, with Pastor Randy Osborn officiating.
