In moments of heavy grief, words are never enough to express the sorrow. In the face of that inadequacy, we announce the passing of Annie J (Oyler) Lyman on November 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Excessively loved and exceptionally missed, she leaves behind Gary Lyman, her devoted husband, her children, Caleb and Amy Lyman (son and daughter-in-law), Emily and Darby Hacker (daughter and son-in-law), Jaleh and Ky Papke (daughter and son-in-law), Kiera and Landon Noah (daughter and son-in-law), as well as her beloved grandchildren, Mason, Cleo, Ainsley, Casen, Brinnah, Rylen, Carter, Anya, Lincoln, Hudson, Taft, Stockton, Mable, Tylee, Camdon, and Logan. She is also mourned by her surviving siblings, Monica Clemens, Sonja Winder, Roycee Oyler, Mel Oyler, Nadine Oyler, Lynette Schmidtlein, and their families. Annie is welcomed in Heaven by her parents, Neldon and Vilda Oyler, siblings Shayne and GayDawn, and grandparents and other family members.
Annie's love of family was the biggest driving force in her life. Not only was she a devoted wife and mother, she also went out of her way to make sure every single one of her grandkids knew how much she cherished them by attending countless sports events, plays, and other activities they were involved in. Annie also loved to travel, adventuring with family-including grandchildren-to places all around the world, from Disneyland, to Mexico, to Egypt, and countless places in between. After the death of her parents, she took in her sister Nadine with open, ready arms, and also included her in that travel. Like her father, she loved to camp, raising her family with that same love, and now they are raising theirs to follow suit. She also loved to craft, whether it be transforming her doorway into a pirate ship for Halloween, or constantly coming up with new and fun projects for her family to come together and create. She hosted swimming parties, movie parties, and Holiday parties all throughout the year, organized camping trips, family reunions, weekend get togethers at cabins, and family game nights and barbecues. Her home was open to all, whether for one day, for one night, or for years. She also loved antiques, and collecting Nativities from around the world, often displaying them in her home. Annie brought creativity and joy and light to everyone she knew. She will be deeply missed.
