Annie Lou (Cook) Pearson, 86, a lifelong resident of Forsyth County passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Ann Lou loved her family (especially the little kids). She was a longtime member of Daves Creek Baptist Church and loved her church family there. She enjoyed playing rummy and spending time in the sun. Ann Lou loved traveling to many gospel singings in Gainesville and other places. She worked with Otwell Motor Company many years ago, the Forsyth County Clerk of the Courts Officeand retired as a Custodian from the Forsyth County Board of Education. Ann Lou is preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Burdell Cook; brothers, Franklin (Hank) Cook, Harris (Cookie) Cook.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Paula Pearson, Jerry and Stacy Pearson and their father, Elmo Pearson; grandchildren, A.J. McGinnis and Kaleb Pearson; sister-in-law, Susie Cook, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dot and Russell Ricks; extended family, Renee Pearson and her son, Joseph; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1, at 3:00 p.m. at Daves Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Cantrell,Rev. Jason Cook, and Rev. Blake Samples officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
